Zanne's Tibetans

Why is it that when the weather is 18 degrees out here in Texas, the dogs would rather be outside than in?  Running in and out the doggy door and all my brain does is think of how high the electric bill is going to be.
Then the normally "outside" dog-Bear-wants inside!  Even though his "Bachelor Pad" is heated.
My house is a circus right now-literally-with Breezy's puppies due in a few days, 2 girls recently in heat, Koda hoping to have a hot date and Bear wishing he could!  Bear has been neutered for 11 years and still wants to have a one time with a female.  Poor boy!  Guess maybe they never lose that instinct.
So we have Koda with June Bug on his tail and Kitsi on June Bugs tail and Bear trying to get in there somewhere.
Things are calming down after last week.  Breezy is so pregnant and pathetic looking!
A little more about Tibetans-they are the "good luck dogs" of Tibet.  Hmmmm..???  I am still waiting!!!  They lived with the Monks and were given to passerbyers to guide them down the mountains.  I have been reminded by prospective families that they were never sold.  Too funny!  They have snowshoe feet to walk in the snow, double coat insulates them from heat and cold and hair over their eyes to keep from going snow blind.  What all of this is worth in Texas, I haven't a clue!  I do know that when it is in the 90's, the girls will lay on the deck in the blazing sun.  It is so hot I can't even walk on it barefoot.  They are one of the most closely related to Wolves and one of the most ancient breeds.  They also come in all colors and markings.  Many prospective owners want to order their certain color but anything can pop up.  They are usually pretty laid back and easy going.  They love people and need to be an inside dog.  They are people pleasers and also usually pick their owners.
One funny story-Molly came down to pick her puppy, yrs ago.  She wanted a golden brindle (Lightening).  Usually Lightening was happy, playful and thought he was so special!  When Molly came to our house she tried and tried to be friends with Lightening but he hid under the table and wouldn't have a thing to do with her.  On the other hand there was his black with white brother Thunder.  Thunder usually spent his time off to himself.  Big laid back lug!  That day he took on a different personality.  He was playful, friendly and trying to make friends with Molly.  Needless to say-Thunder picked Molly and that is where he is today.
Another day in the life of Zanne's Tibetans!
